1:1 Services: Pregnancy
Overview
My 1:1 sessions are catered to your individual needs. I look to support you throughout your pregnancy, to feel as well as you can, and help prepare your body for giving birth.
Exercise during pregnancy can have benefits for mum and baby. It has the power to increase your energy levels, strengthen muscles, decrease aches and pains, improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety and help with an easier delivery.
First Trimester
In the first trimester your body is very busy going through some huge changes and needs time to adjust. This is why I prefer to work with you from the 12 week point onwards. Staying active with lots of walking will offer you huge health benefits.
Second Trimester
The second trimester is when you have the most energy and are still physically able and mobile, the perfect time to start with a trainer. I can guide you through safe exercises and help get you ready for what lies ahead. We exercise being mindful of the pelvic floor and getting your stronger for your life as mum. It doesn’t matter what level of fitness you had prior to pregnancy we can adapt the sessions to suit you.
Third Trimester
The third trimester will depend on how you are feeling. The sessions are aimed towards preparing you physically and mentally for birth, whilst decreasing the intensity and working on mindful movement. Moving and staying mobile is really important for helping with the birth and particularly for your recovery postnatally.
What to expect within the sessions
We release any areas that may be tight and then start by integrating your breathing and core with your pelvic floor. Taking into account your fitness levels I create a personalised programme, using safe and effective exercises. Gradually decreasing the intensity as pregnancy progresses. We take it at your pace.
I aim to keep you strong, mobile and as pain free as possible throughout your pregnancy and in preparation for birth.
