My women-only weights classes are designed to help you lift safely, build strength, protect your joints and support your hormones through midlife and beyond. With pelvic-health-aware coaching and small group numbers, you’ll feel at home even if you’ve never picked up a barbell before.

From peri-menopause onwards, we naturally lose muscle and bone density. Lifting weights is one of the most effective ways to stay strong, stable and energised.
In these classes you will:

What to Expect in Each Class

Every 45-minute session includes:

  • A mobility-based warm-up tailored to women in midlife

  • Coaching on foundational lifts (squats, deadlifts, pushes, pulls)

  • Pelvic-health-aware options to suit your comfort and confidence

  • Progressions that help you lift heavier safely

You’ll always be given options depending on your energy, cycle stage and any injuries or concerns.

Our Approach

Pelvic-health-aware coaching
With expertise in pelvic health and postnatal recovery, I’ll guide your breath, bracing and lifting technique so you can train safely and feel in control.

Supportive small groups
Classes are capped at small numbers so you get personalised coaching, clear feedback and a sense of community.

Evidence-informed programming
Your training is based on research about women’s physiology, midlife hormones and long-term health — not generic, one-size-fits-all workouts.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m a complete beginner — will I be okay?
Absolutely. Many women join without any lifting experience. We start light, focus on technique, and build confidence step by step.

What if I have a prolapse or pelvic floor symptoms?
You’re in safe hands. I offer modifications, supportive breathing strategies and personalised options so you can train comfortably.

Do I need to be fit already?
No — strength training is how you become fitter. Come as you are.

What equipment do you use?
We work with barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and bands, plus mobility tools to support healthy movement.

Online Coaching with OptiMum Strength Collective

GOLD– £50 a month- Includes a 30 minute live zoom call at the start of your membership and every 6 weeks to check in with your progress and check form if necessary. Click here

SILVER– £40 a month- Includes an initial 30 minute zoom call alongside a structured weights plan you then follow. Click here

BRONZE- £25 a month- Perfect for motivated women who enjoy training independently and want expert-led programming to follow at their own pace. This membership does not include the 1:1 zoom call. Click here

A 6-8 week whole body workout to get you started. Using dumbbells/ kettlebells and body weight you can start feeling stronger and full of energy. Follow the videos and log your workout simply in the App. See your progress and check in with me to keep you on track. Click here
